Volunteer for the Breck Epic in August and help the SFTS put money into the trails!
The SFTS is partnering with the Breck Epic to help trails in Summit County. The Epic will donate money to the SFTS in exchange the SFTS rounding up volunteers for the event. In case you don’t know what the Breck Epic is, it’s a world class, off road stage race that attracts people from all over the US and other countries.
It takes many volunteers to make an event like this happen. We’re asking for marshals out on the course, people on bikes helping mark the courses as well as riding sweep behind the last rider and pulling markers when all the racers are through. We also need pre-riders who can ride the courses early in the morning, like 6:00am and make sure all the markers are intact. Pre-riders will need to be able strong enough riders to ride tough 28-45 mile loops and stay ahead of the race leaders who start at 8:00.
Volunteers will get a big swag bag depending on how many days you volunteer. You can do one or all days. People who commit to work multiple days in key positions will be eligible for paid positions.
