Coming up here on Aug. 3 is our trail project on the Gifford Pinchot (Ho Chi Minh) Trail. It’s an old social trail that connects Gold Hill Trail to the trail system near the St. Anthony’s Summit Medical Center. The idea is to make a more advanced trail that is also more sustainable. If interested, email email@example.com or get in touch with one of your friendly SFTS members!
Who: SFTS working with the Forest Service
What: Making the Gifford Pinchot (Ho Chi Minh) trail more sustainable
When: Sat., Aug. 3. Meet time: 8:30 a.m.
Where: Frisco area, specific location TBA but probably Summit High school. Ride or hike in.
Wait! There’s more! Stay on into the night with SFTS!
Also — don’t forget! Want to hang out with us all day and into the night? We’ve got a fundraiser movie night happening at the Frisco Adventure Park at 7 p.m. Saturday. Put on jointly between Wilderness Sports and Summit Fat Tire Society, the event — featuring “Where the Trail Ends” — will raise money to benefit SFTS trail work with an emphasis in the Frisco area. Proceeds from our last movie night went to signage and materials for the Gifford Pinchot (Ho Chi Minh) Trail and Frisco Peninsula trails.
Don’t know anything about “Where the Trail Ends?” Well, it’s only the most progressive and ambitious mountain biking ever attempted… in an adventure unlike anything experienced before in breath-taking locations all over the world!
The deets on this one:
Cost: $15 (unless you volunteer for our aforementioned trail project, in which case, admission is free!) Only 120 tickets available!
Doors: 7 p.m. to socialize and win some Specialized and Wilderness Sports SWAG. Movie kicks off at 8 p.m.
Food and beverage: Available for purchase through Frisco Adventure Park
